Vestry Hall

Vestry Hall is a community venue available to hire in the centre of Cranbrook, Kent. Set in a distinctive historic building, it provides a practical setting for private celebrations, local gatherings and organised activities. The main hall can be arranged for different event formats, including seated dinners, dancing, performances and exhibitions. Published capacities include up to 100 people seated at tables, 120 for a closely seated audience, and 145 for a disco or ballroom-style event.

The hall is equipped with tables and chairs, kitchen facilities and a range of crockery and cutlery. Hirers can also request items such as a stage, sound system and additional serving equipment. The venue holds a premises licence for selected entertainment and alcohol service, subject to its hire terms and permitted hours. Event organisers should confirm their requirements and any applicable fees with the Parish Council when enquiring.

In addition to Vestry Hall, the parish makes other spaces available, including the Council Chamber and Addison VC Room, which may suit smaller meetings and group sessions. The hall is used for parties, meetings, classes, talks, performances and community exhibitions, offering organisers a flexible indoor space for a range of occasions. Step-free access is available at the rear of the building, with a designated accessible toilet. There is no dedicated car park at the hall, although public car parks are nearby. Bookings are made through Cranbrook and Sissinghurst Parish Council, which provides the booking forms and hire conditions. Contact the council to check room availability, current charges, capacity and facilities for your planned event.
