The Venue on 35th

The Venue on 35th is a small performance space in Norfolk, Virginia, centred on local artists and creative activity. It provides a setting for writers, singers, musicians, actors, dancers, poets and comedians to share work, develop ideas and connect with an audience. Its programme includes open-mic sessions, showcases and workshops, making the venue relevant to organisers planning intimate arts events and community gatherings.

The space has a welcoming, informal character, with a focus on giving performers room to experiment and present original material. Public listings describe basic performance equipment, including microphones, stage lighting and a sound system. The venue has hosted spoken-word performances, comedy, music and other live arts, so organisers can consider it for events where a close connection between performers and guests matters more than a large auditorium or formal production setting.

For event planners, The Venue on 35th may suit small-scale performances, readings, open-mic gatherings, workshops and arts-led community programmes. Its local focus also makes it a natural meeting place for emerging performers and audiences interested in Norfolk's creative scene. The available information points to a compact venue rather than a broad conference or banquet facility. Organisers should contact the venue directly to confirm current availability, room arrangements, hire terms, capacity and technical provisions for their event. Its profile is most closely associated with intimate live performance and opportunities for local artists to present and develop their work.
