Upper House

Upper House is a Christian study and hospitality centre near the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. Alongside its educational and community programmes, it makes selected rooms available for approved meetings and events, particularly for Christian organisations and university faculty and staff. Every request is reviewed, and availability depends on the semester, staffing and existing commitments. The venue is not available for weddings, birthday parties or other gatherings unrelated to its ministry or UW-affiliated work, so organisers should check that their event is eligible before making plans.

Spaces range from small classrooms for groups of around ten to larger rooms suitable for discussions, workshops and presentations. The Grand Hall, the main event space, can accommodate up to 350 people, while the Hippodrome holds up to 70. Other rooms include the Porch, with capacity for 50, and Birch, which seats up to 25. Layouts include lecture, conference, banquet and group-work arrangements, depending on the room.

Facilities vary by space and include televisions or projectors, whiteboards, microphones, screens and other AV equipment. Technical support may be available by arrangement. Organisers can also ask about using the cafe and commercial kitchen, subject to availability and the venue's requirements. Upper House does not provide catering, and alcohol is not permitted. Room requests are made in advance and require staff approval and an agreed space-use arrangement. The venue is in central Madison, with nearby parking options and convenient access to the university community it primarily serves.
