School House Events

School House Events is a characterful venue in Oronoco, Minnesota, set in a historic schoolhouse built in 1875. Its indoor spaces are available throughout the year, while outdoor areas offer a seasonal option beside the Zumbro River. Organisers can arrange the setting to suit their gathering, with different layouts and ceremony and reception options available.

The venue welcomes weddings as well as birthdays, anniversaries, graduation parties, holiday celebrations, reunions, work meetings, retreats and other private, public or community occasions. For weddings, the building has two levels of indoor space, outdoor ceremony options and a large bridal suite. Wedding bookings include extended access across Friday and Saturday, giving the couple and their suppliers time to prepare and clear the space.

Tables, chairs, table linen and linen napkins are included in the rental. A selection of décor pieces is also available, and organisers may bring in their own vendors and additional rentals. School House Events does not provide catering directly, but shares a preferred vendor list for catering and bar services, while leaving the choice of caterer to the organiser.

The venue offers tours by appointment and can discuss event timings and layouts according to the needs of each booking. Parking arrangements vary with the event, and a 22-passenger shuttle is available to help guests get around. Indoor and outdoor areas, the historic setting and the riverside surroundings give planners several options for shaping a gathering with a distinct sense of place.
