Farthingloe Barn

Set on a private estate between Dover and Folkestone, Farthingloe Barn is a historic, thatched venue for weddings, private celebrations and corporate events. The restored 16th-century barn offers a characterful indoor setting, while the surrounding countryside and secluded grounds give guests room to gather and provide attractive backdrops for photographs.

The venue can be hired exclusively, allowing organisers to shape the occasion around their guest list and plans. It can seat up to 80 guests at tables and accommodate up to 200 people standing. Inside, facilities include a licensed bar, a dance floor with mood lighting, heating, Wi-Fi and accessible toilet facilities. Tables and chairs are available, and the site also has parking and disabled access. A garden area offers additional outdoor space, with room for a marquee.

Farthingloe Barn welcomes weddings as well as birthdays, anniversaries, private parties and corporate functions. Wedding arrangements are tailored rather than limited to a fixed package, and couples can discuss their preferred style, suppliers and budget with the team. The venue can recommend caterers, florists and other local professionals, while organisers can make arrangements suited to their event. Wedding enquiries can also explore access for preparations around the event day.

With its rural setting, exclusive-use option and practical facilities, the barn gives event planners a flexible base for gatherings that combine an historic building with open-air space. Organisers can enquire directly about availability and discuss how the venue can work for their occasion.
