Riverside Vines

Set beside Lake Chesdin in Sutherland, Virginia, Riverside Vines offers a countryside setting for weddings, private celebrations and organised events. The venue spans a 170-acre farm and vineyard, with indoor and outdoor spaces that give event planners options for different parts of a gathering, from a ceremony to a reception or corporate occasion.

The Harbor is an outdoor ceremony site overlooking the lake. For receptions and socialising, the venue has The Marquee, a permanent tent, and the climate-controlled Vintner's Lounge, which connects to an outdoor patio. Private waterfront lawns and vineyard views also provide space for guests and photographs. Château Thibault, a renovated farmhouse on the property, offers on-site accommodation for groups who want to stay at the venue.

Riverside Vines promotes weddings as well as corporate, non-profit and holiday events. Its event team can help planners shape a celebration around the available spaces and booking options. In-house catering and bar packages are offered, including food and drinks that showcase wines grown at the estate. Wedding packages can include venue facilities, furnishings and service, while organisers can enquire about options for other event types.

The tasting room and grounds are available for scheduled events and private celebrations, rather than as a daily event-booking venue. Planners can contact the team to discuss dates, spaces and package details. With its lakefront location, vineyard setting, reception areas and lodging on site, Riverside Vines is suited to organisers seeking a destination-style venue for a wedding or gathering in Virginia.
