Mack Dick Group Pavilion

Mack Dick Group Pavilion is a bookable group venue within Palo Duro Canyon State Park in the Texas Panhandle. Set on the canyon floor, it provides a striking natural setting for weddings, family reunions, meetings and other private gatherings. The pavilion accommodates up to 169 people, making it suitable for both larger celebrations and organised group occasions.

Inside, guests have use of a full-size commercial kitchen, along with tables and chairs, restrooms, electricity, water, interior lighting, heating and air conditioning. The building is wheelchair accessible. The kitchen gives organisers practical space to prepare or manage food for their gathering, while the tables and chairs help with setting up the room for a meal, meeting or reception. Food service is not listed as a venue-provided catering service, so organisers should confirm their arrangements directly with the park.

The facility is available to hire by the day, with a discounted rate offered for a three-day Friday-to-Sunday booking. A refundable cleaning deposit applies, and park admission fees may be charged separately. Organisers should check current rates, availability, visitor rules and any arrangements for their event when making a reservation, as these details can change.

For planners seeking a dedicated indoor space surrounded by the scenery of Palo Duro Canyon, Mack Dick Group Pavilion offers a practical base for bringing guests together. Reservations are handled through the park reservation service. The wider state park also offers outdoor areas and visitor facilities, but the pavilion itself is the bookable group hall for events.
