St. Wendel Knights Home

St. Wendel Knights Home is a public event venue in Wadesville, Indiana, around 25 minutes from downtown Evansville. Organisers can hire its spaces for weddings, receptions, banquets, family reunions, showers, graduations, meetings and other celebrations. You do not need to be a member of the Knights of St. John to book the venue.

The facility offers more than 11,000 square feet across three areas. The main level provides a generous setting for larger gatherings, with room for dining and dancing. The basement offers a more intimate option for smaller parties, meetings and group functions. An open-air pavilion adds an outdoor element for seasonal events and cookouts, or can be paired with indoor space. Rental choices include the whole facility, the basement alone, or a combination of the pavilion and basement.

Food and drinks are arranged according to the size of the event. For gatherings of more than 100 guests, the venue provides in-house buffet catering, with a menu of Southern-style favourites and options to discuss during a tour. Smaller groups may bring their own food, although outside professional caterers are not permitted. Bar service is provided in-house, with bartenders included in the rental.

The Knights Home is operated by the local Knights of St. John Commandery. Its community focus means that venue hire also supports the organisation's charitable work. Event planners can enquire about availability, discuss guest numbers and preferred spaces, and arrange a visit before choosing the best fit for their occasion.
