Stadthalle Braunschweig is a long-established conference and event venue in the city centre. Its rooms have been used for a wide range of events, from meetings, conferences and political gatherings to concerts, shows, trade fairs, galas and corporate parties. With halls of different sizes and flexible spaces, the venue could accommodate events of all scales. The complex comprises more than 400 rooms across around 23,000 square metres. The halls could be used independently of one another, allowing programme items and events to take place in parallel.

Stadthalle Braunschweig is currently closed to events for extensive renovation work. The work is intended to upgrade the listed building's technology and energy efficiency while preserving its distinctive architecture. Once the renovation is complete, the plan is to reopen a modernised conference and event venue with rooms that can be used more independently of one another. The target date for reopening is 2028.

During the construction phase, the operator is directing event planners to alternative spaces at its other venues. Volkswagen Halle is a possible alternative for larger events. Rooms at Eintracht-Stadion can host meetings, receptions and business events. Organisers can contact the operator to find out about capacities and suitable options. Stadthalle Braunschweig remains a venue in its own right for conferences and a wide range of events, but it cannot be booked as an event venue until it reopens.
