The Grelen Depot

Set in a renovated historic building on Main Street in Orange, Virginia, The Grelen Depot offers three indoor spaces for intimate celebrations and gatherings. Organisers can book The Gallery, The Lounge and The Loft separately or combine rooms to suit the occasion and guest list. The Gallery and Lounge work well together for a ceremony, drinks reception and dinner, while The Loft has a more playful, retro feel for parties and live music.

The venue welcomes weddings, elopements, rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, showers, birthdays, holiday gatherings, workshops and corporate retreats. Its wedding offering includes dedicated packages, and the venue also caters for smaller events where a flexible indoor setting is a priority. Room capacities vary: the Loft accommodates up to 50 guests, the Lounge up to 62 and the Gallery up to 67. When the Gallery and Lounge are booked together, a larger gathering may be possible, subject to the venue's guidance on occupancy.

The building combines historic character with high ceilings, natural light, art and lounge areas. Tables and chairs are included in some room bookings, and there is a catering kitchen available for event caterers. Organisers can ask about setup time, room combinations and event requirements when arranging a tour or making an enquiry.

The Depot also contains The 118, a two-room suite with a living area, bedroom and full bathroom. It can provide a place for a couple to prepare before a wedding, an overnight stay for wedding guests or a getaway in Central Virginia. Together, the bookable event rooms and adjoining suite give organisers a distinctive downtown setting for weddings and other small-scale events.
