West Park Events Field

West Park Events Field is an outdoor venue in Long Eaton available to organisers planning public, community and commercial events. The open-air space can be hired for occasions ranging from small fetes and dog shows to charity events, country shows, concerts and larger gatherings. It offers organisers a flexible setting where they can plan the layout and bring in the structures, attractions and services their event requires.

Recent improvements to the field have added better drainage and more parking provision, alongside essential event utilities. These include three-phase electricity, drinking water and foul drainage. Charges for site hire vary according to the event and its expected attendance, with separate rates for commercial events and registered charities or not-for-profit organisations. Electricity and water use may also incur additional charges.

Erewash Borough Council manages event bookings and provides guidance to organisers through its events team. Applicants should request an application pack and submit their plans at least four weeks before the event date. Depending on the activities planned, organisers may need to arrange licences and address practical matters such as safety, traffic, parking, toilets, waste and temporary structures. The council's guidance helps applicants understand these responsibilities and prepare the information needed for their proposal.

West Park Events Field suits organisers looking for a sizeable outdoor site rather than an indoor function room. Its location within West Park, improved access and basic utilities make it a practical option for staging community celebrations, outdoor entertainment and public events in the Long Eaton area. Availability, permissions and site arrangements should be confirmed with the council before making plans.
