The 1530 Events

The 1530 is a multi-space event venue in Grand Rapids, Michigan, offering organisers a choice of settings for weddings, corporate functions and private celebrations. Its spaces combine the character of a former furniture factory, including original wood floors and exposed brick, with practical facilities for hosting guests.

The Madison Ballroom is the largest space, with room for up to 250 people. It is suited to wedding receptions, galas, fundraisers, banquets and meetings, and includes a bar, stage, projectors and an audio-visual system. For smaller gatherings, the Cottage Grove Lounge and Mezzanine accommodate up to 80 guests. The rooftop garden can be added to this booking for an outdoor reception or social gathering, with seating, tables and a sound system. It is not available as a separate rental.

The venue welcomes wedding ceremonies and receptions, as well as rehearsal dinners, showers and other celebrations around a wedding. Business and community organisers can enquire about luncheons, networking events, product showcases, meetings, retreats and fundraising events. On-site parking and accessible facilities are among the practical amenities.

In-house banquet service is available for events held at The 1530, with buffet, plated and family-style options, alongside bar service and optional staffing, linen and tableware. The ballroom has a catering restriction, while outside catering is permitted in the lounge, mezzanine and rooftop garden.
