Yester Estate

Set in the East Lothian countryside near Gifford, Yester Estate offers its historic gardens and estate grounds as a setting for weddings, corporate occasions and other events. The Georgian Walled Gardens provide a distinctive outdoor backdrop, with the smaller White Garden available for more intimate celebrations, receptions or guest glamping. Depending on the event, organisers can use marquees, tents or yurts to shape the space and accommodate gatherings ranging from around 25 people to more than 1,000.

For businesses, the estate can host away days, team-building events, incentive groups, gala dinners and product launches. Its lawns, gardens and woodland offer room for outdoor activities and tailored workshops, while an event manager and the estate team provide support with planning and on-the-day arrangements. Organisers can discuss the layout and practical requirements for their occasion directly with the venue.

Yester Estate also welcomes filming and photography productions. Its extensive landscape offers a range of locations, with on-site support and access to facilities such as power, water, Wi-Fi and office space, subject to the production's needs. The estate publishes a preferred-suppliers list for wedding services, helping couples explore options such as marquees and outside catering while arranging suppliers directly.

With historic surroundings, open-air spaces and flexible temporary structures, Yester Estate suits event planners looking for a countryside location that can be adapted to the scale and style of their gathering. The team can discuss availability, event formats and requirements with organisers before a visit.
