Sturges-Young Center for the Arts

Sturges-Young Center for the Arts is a multi-space venue in downtown Sturgis, Michigan, available for weddings, private celebrations, business gatherings and performances. Its mid-century modern building brings together a large auditorium, a ballroom and smaller meeting rooms, giving event planners several options under one roof.

The 969-seat main auditorium is suited to theatre, concerts, lectures, film screenings and corporate presentations. It has a proscenium stage, theatrical lighting and sound, projection facilities, dressing rooms and loading space for equipment and sets. For receptions and social events, the Beck Ballroom seats up to 200 guests and has its own stage, integrated sound and projection. An adjoining lounge and gallery can provide room for a bar, buffet, displays or additional seating.

The Union-level rooms offer a more intimate setting for meetings, showers, reunions, holiday parties and smaller wedding gatherings. These flexible rooms have sound and projection capabilities, with options for different layouts and capacities. Event packages can include tables, chairs, linens, staff set-up and take-down, while an upgraded package also provides glassware, china and flatware. The venue can support organisers with event planning enquiries and room arrangements, and outside catering may be accommodated.

With spaces ranging from small meeting rooms to a full theatre auditorium, the centre can host events at a variety of scales. Its dedicated event rental offering and explicit wedding facilities make it a practical choice for organisers planning business meetings, family milestones, receptions or audience-facing programmes in Southwest Michigan.
