The Asistencia

The Asistencia is a historic event venue in Redlands, California, set within a reconstructed ranch outpost associated with Mission San Gabriel. Its adobe buildings, chapel and landscaped grounds offer event planners a setting with a strong sense of local history and a very different feel from a conventional function room.

The site is particularly suited to wedding ceremonies and other intimate occasions. Couples can make use of the chapel for a ceremony, while the courtyard and gardens provide outdoor space for gathering and photographs. The historic architecture and garden setting also lend themselves to receptions, private celebrations and community events where the location is an important part of the occasion.

For organisers, the venue offers a distinctive backdrop rather than a standard package-led event space. Its character can work well for ceremonies, cultural gatherings, talks and special programmes, with the historic surroundings adding interest for guests. The Asistencia is also used for public activities and community events, reflecting its role as both a heritage site and a place for people to come together.

Event planners considering the venue should contact the site team to confirm current availability, permitted event formats, guest arrangements and any requirements for using the chapel or outdoor areas. The property is in Redlands and is accessible by road, making it a memorable option for organisers seeking a historic setting for a wedding or gathering in the area.
