Hendry House

Hendry House is a historic venue in Fort C.F. Smith Park, Arlington, offering a distinctive setting for weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, private functions and business meetings. Set within a leafy park, the restored Victorian mansion combines period character with practical facilities for organisers planning a gathering.

The house has around 2,900 square feet of rental space across two levels, arranged as four separate rooms. It can accommodate up to 65 people seated or 80 standing indoors. For larger celebrations, a tent can be placed on the adjoining lawn, allowing events to host up to 150 people. The grounds, tree canopy and open meadow provide an attractive backdrop for ceremonies and outdoor photographs.

Facilities include a large kitchen for caterers, front and side porches, a separate changing room, tables and chairs, Wi-Fi and accessible main-level space. Organisers can bring in outside caterers and other suppliers, while a member of staff is present during the contracted rental period. Alcohol may be served with the required permit.

The venue suits intimate celebrations as well as focused work gatherings. Its separate rooms can support meetings or smaller breakout groups, while the lawn and indoor spaces offer options for wedding ceremonies and receptions. Parking is available in the lot, with additional street parking nearby. For planners seeking a characterful venue with indoor and outdoor possibilities, Hendry House provides a flexible base in a historic park setting.
