Central ARTSTATION

Central ARTSTATION is a multi-purpose arts venue in downtown Shreveport, housed in a renovated historic fire station. It offers event organisers a choice of spaces for performances, exhibitions, meetings, workshops and private functions.

The Engine Room is a flexible black-box space that can be configured for different types of programmes and audiences. It is suited to performances, rehearsals, presentations, parties and other gatherings, with theatrical lighting and technical areas. Seating and staging arrangements can be adapted to the event, and the room can accommodate around 60 to 120 guests. Its location on the lower floor and access to a prep kitchen and accessible public facilities add practical options for organisers planning a function.

The venue also has gallery spaces that can host exhibitions or be arranged for events, along with conference rooms for meetings, classes and training sessions. These smaller rooms are useful for organisations that need a dedicated setting for discussion or learning, while the larger spaces can support public programmes and social gatherings. The building's arts-focused character and historic features give events a distinctive setting without limiting the spaces to one format.

Central ARTSTATION is home to the Shreveport Regional Arts Council, which handles venue booking enquiries. Organisers can contact the council to discuss availability and the most suitable room for their event. The venue is in the Shreveport Common area, with accessible entrances and facilities noted by the council. Its range of adaptable rooms makes it a practical option for local arts organisations, businesses and community groups seeking a venue in central Shreveport.
