The BackShed Event Center

The BackShed Event Center is a year-round venue in Royalton, Minnesota, for couples, families and organisers planning celebrations. Its 4,200-square-foot indoor space can host up to 288 guests, making it suitable for wedding receptions, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and other gatherings. The room is offered as a flexible setting that clients can arrange to suit their plans, from a larger reception to a smaller celebration using only part of the space.

Tables and chairs for up to 288 people are included in the rental, along with accessible indoor bathrooms. The venue is heated and air-conditioned, and dimmable lighting helps organisers shape the atmosphere for different occasions. A functioning bar area includes a drink station, keg cooler and ice machine, while a commercial-sized refrigerator is also available. Clients arrange their own bartenders.

Organisers can choose from hourly, daily and weekend hire, with pricing packages that include the venue's core furnishings and facilities. The open-catering approach lets clients select their own caterer or bring their own food and drinks, rather than being restricted to a required vendor list. This gives hosts room to plan around their preferred menu and budget. The BackShed also offers venue tours by appointment, so prospective clients can see the space and discuss their plans before booking. Located in downtown Royalton, it provides a practical blank canvas for weddings and personal celebrations throughout the year.
