The location

De Nieuwe Liefde is a stylish conference and event location opened by Princess Beatrix in February 2011, then still Queen. The monumental location on Da Costakade in Amsterdam has a rich history. Originally it was built at the beginning of the 20th century as a wine warehouse, but the building has also served as a theater ("Theater de Liefde").

The building was radically renovated in 2010 by Wiel Arets Architects and has a modern, inspiring appearance while retaining original aspects. This special renovation was awarded in 2011 with the Geurt Brinkgreve Bokaal, an architecture prize from the Municipality of Amsterdam for the best re-use of a monumental location.

Halls & facilities

The location offers space for six rooms (suitable for 8 - 375 people), original stained glass and a monumental staircase. The various floors are visually connected by means of a vide. The result is a spacious, light, stylish and businesslike appearance: ideal for your conference, symposium, meeting, theater performance, concert and / or presentation. The latest technical equipment is available, including advanced acoustic ceilings for optimal sound quality. Our own technical team is happy to assist you where necessary.

All our rooms have daylight and are accessible for the disabled. There is an elevator and there are two stairwells. De Nieuwe Liefde offers a wide range of design furniture (including Vitra) and all rooms can be furnished in a multifunctional way. There is a cloakroom in the hall and a desk at the reception to welcome your guests.

Catering

Our chef Antoine Hermans (Huize Hermans) is happy to provide for all culinary wishes imaginable. From standard packages for lunch and dinner to customized special wishes, as an addition to a presentation or meeting, or just a business or private dinner: De Nieuwe Liefde offers you a warm welcome!

Accessibility

De Nieuwe Liefde is located in the center of Amsterdam (Oud-West) and is easily accessible by public transport. The accessibility by car is good, there is parking for small groups in the street (public parking) or for large groups in the Q-park on Marnixstraat, an 8-minute walk from our location.

De locatie

De Nieuwe Liefde is een stijlvolle congres- & evenementenlocatie geopend door Prinses Beatrix in februari 2011, toen nog Koningin. De monumentale locatie aan de Da Costakade te Amsterdam heeft een rijke geschiedenis. Oorspronkelijk is het begin 20e eeuw gebouwd als wijnpakhuis, maar het pand heeft ook dienst gedaan als onder meer theater ("Theater de Liefde').

Het pand is in 2010 ingrijpend verbouwd door Wiel Arets Architects en heeft een moderne, inspirerende uitstraling met behoud van originele aspecten. Deze bijzondere verbouwing is in 2011 bekroond met de Geurt Brinkgreve Bokaal, een architectuurprijs van de Gemeente Amsterdam voor beste herbestemming van een monumentale locatie.

Zalen & faciliteiten

De locatie biedt ruimte aan zes zalen (geschikt voor 8 - 375 personen), origineel glas-in-loodwerk en een monumentaal trappenhuis. De verschillende verdiepingen worden middels een vide visueel aan elkaar verbonden. Het resultaat is een ruimtelijke, lichte, stijlvolle en zakelijke uitstraling: ideaal voor uw congres, symposium, vergadering, theatervoorstelling, concert en/of presentatie. De nieuwste technische apparatuur is aanwezig, o.a. geavanceerde akoestische plafonds voor optimale geluidskwaliteit. Ons eigen technisch team assisteert u graag daar waar nodig.

Al onze zalen hebben daglicht en zijn toegankelijk voor minder validen. Er is een lift aanwezig en er zijn twee trappenhuizen. De Nieuwe Liefde heeft een breed scala aan design meubilair in huis (o.a. Vitra) en alle zalen zijn multifunctioneel in te richten. In de hal is een garderobe aanwezig en bij de receptie een balie voor ontvangst van uw gasten.

Catering

Onze chef-kok Antoine Hermans (Huize Hermans) voorziet graag in alle culinaire wensen denkbaar. Van standaard arrangementen voor lunch en diner tot bijzondere wensen op maat, als aanvulling op een presentatie of vergadering, of alleen een zakelijk of privé diner: De Nieuwe Liefde heet u warm welkom!

Bereikbaarheid

De Nieuwe Liefde ligt in het centrum van Amsterdam (Oud-West) en is uitstekend bereikbaar met openbaar vervoer. De bereikbaarheid met de auto is goed, parkeergelegenheid voor kleine groepen is er in de straat (openbaar parkeren) of voor grote groepen in de Q-park aan de Marnixstraat, 8 minuten lopen vanaf onze locatie.
