The Octagon Centre

The Octagon Centre is a multi-purpose venue at the heart of The University of Sheffield campus. It's ideal for any large or small event, whether you’re planning an awards ceremony, conference, meeting or performance, the Octagon. With a seated capacity of up to 1230 (1500 for standing events) or 870 sq. metres of clear floor area, the Octagon is enormously flexible. There are multiple options when hiring this magnificent hall. You can hire the entire hall, 3/4 of the hall, half the hall or a small part of the hall. Conferences and exhibitions, large-scale live music gigs, sport and comedy shows are only a fraction of the wide variety of productions hosted here. There are also suites of ancillary rooms all under the same roof, available for breakout and meetings, with capacities ranging from 30 to 80 people. Modular staging systems, comprehensive technical infrastructure and first-class support from an in house event and production teams complete the picture. Since it's situated in the city centre of Sheffield, the venue has excellent public transport links and is situated immediately next to the new Durham Road car park, which boasts over 500 spaces and operates 24/7.
