The Maryland Theatre

The Maryland Theatre is a historic performing arts venue in downtown Hagerstown, offering event organisers a choice of spaces for performances and private functions. Its 1,293-seat auditorium has two levels of seating and a stage suited to concerts, dance, theatre, comedy, talks and other live productions. The venue also provides technical support for performances and events, with production specifications available to help organisers plan their requirements.

Alongside the original theatre, the Performing Arts Center includes additional event space across several floors. Facilities include a ballroom, meeting rooms, a VIP suite, rehearsal studio, cocktail lounge and grand lobby. This range allows the venue to accommodate different event formats, from business meetings and conferences to fundraisers, small conventions and community gatherings. Private celebrations such as weddings, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, birthdays, holiday events and religious occasions are also welcome.

Organisers can enquire about hiring the venue and discuss which spaces may suit their plans. The theatre's staff can provide event and technical information during the booking process, while the venue's event spaces offer options beyond the main auditorium. Located in Hagerstown's Arts and Entertainment District, the building combines a distinctive historic setting with facilities added through its Performing Arts Center expansion. It also serves as a home for regional arts organisations and hosts a varied programme of public performances throughout the year.
