The Rugged Axe

The Rugged Axe is an axe-throwing and group activity venue in Manchester, New Hampshire, welcoming organisers planning corporate outings, team-building sessions, birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties, fundraisers and meet-ups. Groups can book the private function room and dedicated throwing lanes, or arrange to hire the whole 5,000-square-foot facility.

Private event packages accommodate 20 to 120 guests and run for three hours. Each includes a private function space with seating, a large screen and tablets for games and scoring, two reserved throwing lanes, a trained axe coach and an event coordinator to help with planning and on the day. Hot dogs, chips, soft drinks and water are included. Groups may bring other food if they provide the serving supplies, while alcoholic drinks can be added for guests aged 21 and over with valid identification. The activity is suitable for first-timers as well as experienced throwers. Coaches guide participants through safety and technique, and the throwing lanes are separated by barriers. The wider range has 18 lanes, and each lane can host up to four people, with two throwing at a time. For regular public sessions, visitors can reserve a lane by the hour, with axes and coaching provided.

The venue also runs an eight-week league and welcomes walk-ins when lanes are available. Family sessions allow participants aged 12 and over at specified times. Food and drinks are available on site, and the facility is ADA compliant. Advance booking is recommended, particularly for weekends and larger groups.
