beMatrix develops and produces modular systems for the live communication sector (events, stand construction, congresses, etc.). Key points are continuous innovation, sustainability and internationalization. In addition to production facilities in Belgium and the USA, we also have various hubs worldwide for rental, sales and technical support. In order to further expand our ambitions for the future, we are looking for a driven R&D Engineer Digital for our Innovation Department in Roeselare.

Job description:

Starting from market needs and a “story” you will be responsible for the project guidance of the development & elaboration of new digital services, products, systems or tools. These developments aim to relieve the users of beMatrix products, improve efficiency and maximize the use of other products and/or services, both online digital tools and plug-ins on existing software. You are responsible for the complete elaboration and implementation of the beMatrix products as drawn up by the PM digital.

• Manage CAD system (Inventor)
• Keeping library and software up to date
• Creating CAD tools for R&D and internal sales
• Management and implementation & maintenance PDM system in R&D
• Technical lead beCAD platform
• Contact person for external software suppliers
• Keep library up to date (develop rules for beCAD engine and create new parts)
• Testing new versions, bug solving
• First line support
• Organizing internal & external brainstorms in collaboration with PM Digital
• You report to the R&D manager

Profile

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent through experience.
• You are proficient in Autodesk Inventor and know how to use it optimally for design and production.
• You have a passion for 3D design, a genuine interest in new technological developments and closely follow digital innovations.
• You are able to clearly express your ideas in Dutch and English and can easily communicate with colleagues and external partners.
• You are open-minded and innovative. Open to new ideas, looking beyond standard solutions and flexible in your way of working.
• You think out-of-the-box and contribute innovative solutions.
• You are hands-on, understand how things work and know how to make, read and translate technical drawings into concrete solutions.
• You work in a structured manner, plan well and maintain an overview in complex projects.
