visit.brussels named 14 congress organisers as ambassadors of Brussels. The new ambassadors are organisations that have helped put Brussels on the map as an international MICE destination over the past two years.
It was the fifth edition of the Brussels Events Ambassadors Evening, which honours conference organisers. With over 900 international professional events each year, Brussels is Europe's leading city for conference hosting. Brussels aims to maintain this position, in part thanks to the ambassador programme. The ambassadors form a network of business people who are not only passionate about their sector but also about our region. As such, they contribute to Brussels’ image internationally. The Ambassadors Programme: a boost for business tourism
The programme laureates met at Forest National, in the presence of Rudi Vervoort, MinisterPresident of the Brussels Capital Region. Brussels Ministers Elke Van den Brandt and Sven Gatz, Brussels State Secretary Pascal Smet and Cécile Jodogne (Chairwoman) and Patrick Bontinck (CEO) of visit.brussels were also in attendance.

Visit.brussels roept 14 congresorganisatoren uit tot ambassadeur van Brussel. Dat gebeurde tijdens de Brussels Events Ambassadors Evening in Vorst Nationaal. De nieuwe ambassadeurs allemaal experts in hun domein. De afgelopen twee jaar zetten ze Brussel mee op de kaart als internationale MICE-bestemming.
Het was al de vijfde editie van de Brussels Events Ambassadors Evening. Dat is een avond die congresorganisatoren in de bloemetjes zet. Met jaarlijks meer dan 900 internationale professionele evenementen is Brussel de belangrijkste congresstad van Europa. Onder meer dankzij het ambassadeursprogramma tracht Brussel die positie vast te houden. De ambassadeurs vormen een netwerk van zakenmensen die niet alleen een passie voor hun sector hebben maar ook voor onze regio. Op die manier dragen ze bij tot de uitstraling van Brussel in de wereld. In Vorst Nationaal kwamen de laureaten van het programma samen in aanwezigheid van Rudi Vervoort, minister-president van het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest. De Brusselse ministers Elke Van den Brandt en Sven Gatz , Brussels staatssecretaris Pascal Smet, Cécile Jodogne (voorzitster van visit.brussels) en Patrick Bontinck (CEO van visit.brussels ) waren er ook bij.
